Nature’s Way Turmeric Review

Welcome to our review of the product called Nature’s Way Turmeric. This supplement uses turmeric extract which is known for providing a range of different health benefits for the body and mind.

This product does not contain any:

  • Artificial coloring
  • Artificial flavoring
  • Dairy products
  • Gluten
  • Preservatives
  • Salt
  • Soy
  • Sugar
  • Wheat
  • Yeast

But, what does it contain and will it deliver real health benefits? Read our full review below to learn more.

Is Nature’s Way Turmeric Effective?

The first thing we noticed is that Nature’s Way Turmeric is standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids. This is proven as the highest potency of bioactive curcuminoids and a necessity for all turmeric products.

However, we would have liked to see a higher dose of turmeric extract as this product only contains 750mg which is a lot less than the 1500mg dose we have seen in other turmeric supplements.

Since there is no mention of a money-back guarantee, the need to read consumer reviews is paramount in order to be able to ascertain whether or not this product may be deemed effective. We read detailed reviews and found similar patterns. There were some customers who were satisfied with these products but a large amount wrote they were completely unimpressed. It is unfortunate that many people complained of losing their money on a product that didn’t work or that they suffered from severe gastrointestinal distress.

It is also interesting to note that this product does not contain BioPerine®. This is surprising as there is a very well-known study done at St. John’s Medical College on the effect of BioPerine® on turmeric. BioPerine® significantly improved the bioavailability of curcumin – by 2000% as compared with taking curcumin alone! Because of this, most manufacturers view BioPerine® as an essential part of their turmeric supplement formula.

Is Nature’s Way Turmeric Safe?

This product is made from natural herbal extracts which mostly eliminates the risk of incurring side effects. Each tablet contains turmeric root extract standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids.

It also contains the following inactive ingredients:

  • Cellulose, Stearic Acid, Organic Maltodextrin, Silica, Organic Sunflower Lecithin, Organic Palm Olein, Organic Guar Gum
While nothing stands out as being unsafe, many customers have reported severe gastrointestinal distress and therefore had to stop taking these pills.

Summary

We could not find any mention of return policies or a guarantee which is something that should be taken into account if you are planning on trying out this turmeric based supplement. Also, it is vital for you to first contact your doctor to know if it is safe for you to take a turmeric dietary supplement.

Nature’s Way Turmeric has several key positive features. The fact that it contains 95% standardized curcuminoids is an excellent start. The price is pretty much on par with other similar products out there which is good news for consumers.

However, we were disappointed that this product does not contain a high enough dose, lacks BioPerine®, does not offer a money back guarantee and provokes a large amount of negative consumer reviews. As a result, we recommend you purchase this product with caution keeping in mind all the advantages and disadvantages it has, because we feel that there are better products available.
